Dr. Sonya Ephraim, a native of Western New York, has dedicated her career to advancing women’s health, with a specific focus on empowering women through the transformative phases of peri-menopause and menopause. Driven by her passion and commitment to improving quality of life for women, Dr. Ephraim pursued her medical degree at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where she excelled in her studies under the mentorship of exceptional educators.
She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and practiced as a general OB/GYN for over four years. During this time, she developed a deep understanding of the challenges women face during the menopausal transition. Seeking to expand her expertise, Dr. Ephraim pursued a fellowship in Female Pelvic
Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at St. Luke’s University Health System in Allentown, PA, where she honed her skills in addressing complex pelvic and hormonal health issues.
In her leadership roles, including as Chief of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Mercyhealth in Rockford, IL, and as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Dr. Ephraim has consistently prioritized education, innovation, and
patient-centered care.
Recognizing the limitations of traditional healthcare models, Dr. Ephraim founded Allure Pelvic Wellness—a practice uniquely designed to address the holistic needs of peri-menopausal and
menopausal women. Allure offers cutting-edge treatments, including hormone replacement therapy (HRT),weight management, sexual wellness, and advanced aesthetic gynecology procedures, all tailored to optimize women’s health, longevity, and vitality.
Dr. Ephraim is double board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery as well as Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), a member of the North American Menopause Society (NAMS), and a sought-after speaker on
menopause and women’s health.

Outside of her professional achievements, Dr. Ephraim is a devoted wife to Yerachmiel “Rocky” Ephraim and mother to Laila and Lennox. Together, they enjoy volunteering, traveling, and
making meaningful contributions to their community.
